Apple Silicon

Apple is introducing new chips in their Macs—the same chips used for the iPhone and iPad.

This is the second time Apple has moved to a new chip architecture.

Apple has given us a few of these new Macs to build and test on. As with the prior shift in processors,
Apple has made it possible to run software for the current Intel chip on the new chips.

In addition, we are building a “Universal” single-file version of the topsOrtho™ app.
This Universal app version will run natively on both Intel chips and Apple chips.
